Final Pick

Another set of games, another opportunity to be wrong. Turns out our analysis and instincts were correct (See Michigan and Villanova picks) but the Constanza method proved costly. Loyola IL looked strong against Michigan for most of the game but ran out of magic down the stretch. ‘Nova was on fire (like NBA JAM fire) from 3 (13 for 26 in the first half). When Villanova shoots from the three point line with same accuracy as someone taking contested layups, you know you’re in for a long night. Bill Self certainly knew he was in trouble. What are you going to do, though? You can’t foul a three point shooter. Villanova could not be stopped and Kansas was never in the game.

March Madness has shown why it’s the best tournament around. Kansas beat Duke, arguably the best looking team in the tourney and then got stomped by ‘Nova. No one was talking about Michigan (still no one is talking about Michigan) and they are playing in the National Championship game.

With our final pick we are going with a tried and true method: the coin flip. Heads Michigan, Tails Villanova.

And the winner is….Heads. Michigan wins. The fab 5 goes crazy and Jay Wright heads home to ponder what suit style will be in vogue for the 2018-2019 campaign.
