Summer Travel

Crystal clear water of Uluwatu, Bali

Summertime is the perfect time to take a vacation and get out of the country. Things at the office are generally slower and if the boss is heading out of town, maybe it’s time you do the same. We want you to maximize your summer vacay so below are some tips that will help you make the most of your time away, save money, and find new adventures.

Flights
Are you interested in getting two vacations in one trip? So are we. Many airlines offer free stopovers. You can stay for a couple of hours or a couple of days. IcelandAir lets you extend your layover in Iceland at no extra charge. That way you can check out the land of fire and ice for 36 hours before you sit back and relax in Paris.

Hotels
Booking hotels in a new place can be stressful. After all, you’ve never stayed at the hotel and reviews can be inaccurate. Sites like Trivago and Hotels.com offer great deals but how can you really be sure that you’re getting what you want? Try searching the hotel you are considering on Facebook or Instagram. You can see everyday travelers pictures of the properties and get a better feeling of what the hotel looks like. Then you can judge for yourself whether the property lives up to the hype.

Eating
Word to the wise. Be adventurous. If you are stuck on eating what you are used to, chances are you’ll be disappointed. You aren’t at home and your favorite burger place isn’t around the corner. No matter where you go the food will be different. Tap into the local cuisine and open up your palette.

Enjoy!
